A successor to the AEUG transformable mobile suit Zeta Gundam.
It uses the transformation mechanisms of the Methuss, another AEUG transformable MS, to simplify the complex structure of the Zeta Gundam.
This makes it easier to produce and operate.
Despite its simpler transformation, the machine's waverider form has far higher acceleration than other MS.
In this form, the generators throughout its body can also be connected to charge up its mega beam rifle, giving it power rivaling that of the Zeta Gundam's hyper mega beam launcher.
With specs surpassing those of contemporary MS, it promised good cost-performance as a mass production machine.
However, due to the AEUG's financial constraints at the time, the development of the more versatile ZZ Gundam was given higher priority.
Though this machine never entered production, its concept was later inherited by the mass-produced transformable MS ReZEL.
