A customized GN-X.
Based on feedback from the battlefield, the later productions of the GN-X were updated.
Defense Rods were attached to the shoulder hardpoints, and Verniers were added to the legs.
The weapon loadout was also improved; including upgrading the GN-X's standard rifle into the Advanced GN Beam Rifle and adding the prototype Proto GN Lance that would be used by the GN-X III.
The unit can also be further tuned to allow the pilot's maximum potential.
The model achieved great results in active duty, but never made up more than 3% of all GN-X units produced.
It was primarily used by the UN's ace pilots.
Combat data from these units was used in the development of the next generation main forces, the GN-X II.

An ace pilot with the Earth Federation Peacekeeping Forces.
Formerly with the AEU, he served as a backup pilot on the UN Forces GN-X team. However, he ended up piloting a GN-X after the death of one of the main pilots.
His skills were an extremely good fit for the solar-reactor-powered machine, and the expertise with which he piloted it earned him the nickname the "Steel Cowboy."
He was also called the "Devil of Unification" by the opposing anti-Federation forces, who feared him.
He is loose when it comes to women and quite the playboy.
