A fifth-generation mobile suit developed by Anaheim Electronics was prepared for Mafty in order to raid the Adelaide Conference.
It is a sibling unit to the Penelope but incorporates even more advanced technology due to its built-in Minovsky Flight Unit.
Its total height surpasses 26 meters and its arms are especially more massive when compared to standard mobile suits, resulting in a monstrous silhouette despite being named a Gundam.

His father is EFSF 13th Independent Fleet commander Bright Noa.
As a child, Hathaway lived through the Second Neo Zeon War caused by Char Aznable (Char's Rebellion). At present, he has completed a brief military service and is undergoing training as a botanical supervisor from professor Amada Mansan.
While returning from a colony's agricultural block on Haunzen Flight 356, he encounters hijackers claiming to be Mafty, but manages to repel them with the physical prowess from his military training, which earns him the praise of many cabinet members.
However, Hathaway is in fact Mafty Navue Erin, leader of the anti-Earth Federation movement Mafty, which intends to assassinate those very same cabinet members.
