A machine that the Earth Federation Force created specifically to test the EXAM system that a Zeon Newtype research facility developed. It is built based on a Gundam Ground Type but has since been modified and enhanced.
The unit is designed with compatibility with the EXAM system in mind, around the concept of solo assaults and high-mobility combat. It is equipped with a variety of mobility-enhancing features, multiple built-in weapons, and has undergone extensive tuning for it to excel in close quarters.
Only the unit number 1 has the GM-type head from initial testing installed on it.

Commander of the Federation Forces' 11th Independent Mechanized Composite Corps, also known as the Guinea Pig Team.
He is a veteran fighter pilot who participated in Operation British.
He is a skilled MS pilot and has defeated the Gundam pilot Amuro Ray in a simulator based on battle data.
He was scouted by Alph Kamra, the technical officer in charge of the Blue Destiny, and chosen as a pilot for the EXAM system test machine.
Since then he has continued to confront his fate while piloting the Blue Destiny, and has achieved great results in combat.
